Jacqueline Fernandez, who has made her mark in Bollywood is actually a Sri Lankan actress and also the winner of Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant of 2006. But now she is known as a popular Bollywood actress who has done some super hit films.
The model turned actor was born into a multiracial family of Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian descent and today, being the Sinhalese New Year (new year of Srilanka), the actress has shared on her Instagram account, her childhood picture when the little Jacqueline wore the traditional Kandyan saree for the first time.
Jacqueline captioned the picture, “අලුත් අවුරුද්ද Happy Sinhalese New Year everyone!!! My first Kandyan saree ❤️❤️”
Her Instagram followers went awww seeing the adorable throwback picture in which Jacqueline is looking absolutely pretty and cute at the same time.
About the Sinhalese new year, the festival is celebrated as the traditional New Year of the Sinhalese people in Sri Lanka. It is a major anniversary celebrated by not only the Sinhalese people but by most Sri Lankans. The occasion, which is generally celebrated on 13 April or 14 April and traditionally begins at the sighting of the new moon, is a public holiday in Sri Lanka.
On the work front, Jacqueline who was last seen opposite Varun Dhawan and Taapsee Pannu in Judwaa 2, is gearing up for her upcoming multi-starrer film, Race 3. The posters for the movie have already been unveiled and is slated for a 15 June release.
